Electrical Engineer Surveyor Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer Surveyor to join our team at Bureau Veritas Switzerland AG. As an Electrical Engineer Surveyor, you will be responsible for conducting high-quality examinations of designated electrical installations while operating with a clear customer focus and driving optimal service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out independent and collaborative work in examining electrical installations, adhering to Bureau Veritas Core Values and Code of Ethics.
  • Fully utilize operational systems, ensuring accurate data input and reflection.
  • Act as a fully integrated member of our national and regional teams, maintaining independent ownership and responsibility for allocated inspection and technical activities.
  • Ensure examinations and testing are completed within set time scales in line with the planned schedule.
  • Produce and distribute inspection reports in a professional manner within daily timescales and service standards.
  • Work safely and in line with Bureau Veritas Health and Safety processes and systems.
  • Conduct electrical safety tests on portable appliances within customers' premises, following the Code of Practice for In-Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment and the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974.
  • Carry out inspections within agreed authorities and to inspection standards, recording activities according to company methods.
  • Maintain awareness of developments in standards and legislation affecting electrical installations, supporting change as required.
  • Collaborate effectively with Area Managers and Regional Directors to ensure all Regions KPIs are met.
Requirements:
  • Relevant electrical knowledge and experience in a similar role or holding the 18th edition qualification.
  • Excellent communication skills with clients and colleagues, both written and verbal.
  • Computer literacy and good knowledge of market, industry trends, developments, and changes in legislation, including H&S requirements.
