Job Title: Specialist Speech and Language Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at NHS Dumfries and Galloway. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing assessment and therapy services to patients with acquired conditions, including dysphagia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide assessment and therapy services to patients with acquired conditions, including dysphagia
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Conduct regular reviews and assessments to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of new policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Registered with the relevant professional council (e.g. NMC, HCPC, GMC)
  • Experience in managing a clinical caseload and working autonomously
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Commitment to ongoing training and professional development
