Job Title: Deputy Chief Medical Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Chief Medical Officer to join our Senior Operational Team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a crucial role in shaping our clinical services strategy and providing professional leadership to our medical workforce.

About the Role
  • Lead the development and implementation of clinical governance initiatives to ensure the highest standards of patient care.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and lead on medical workforce strategy and succession planning.
  • Provide clinical leadership in planning and developing services, working closely with the Chief Clinical Officer and the Deputy Chief of Nursing, Midwifery & Quality.
  • Take responsibility as the BPAS Responsible Officer for doctors' revalidation and provide necessary, accurate, and timely data and reports to the Board and subcommittees.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience of providing abortion/termination of pregnancy services.
  • Demonstrable clinical leadership in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience of operating as part of a senior leadership team, demonstrated ability to understand and engage in strategy development and execution, and understanding of business operating models.
  • Comprehensive understanding of current abortion laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines.
  • In-depth understanding of risk and clinical governance.
What We Offer
  • 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
  • Approximate salary: £124,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
