We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a Manufacturing Engineering background to oversee the engineering functions for our product range. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and resources on existing products, managing the New Product Introduction (NPI) process, and prioritizing improvements and resolving issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the engineering functions for the product range
- Provide technical support and resources on existing products
- Oversee the NPI process
- Prioritize improvements and resolve issues
- Manage and allocate resources, working with other teams
- Develop customer relations, enhancing satisfaction and product longevity
Requirements:
- Experience in Mechanical Engineering (essential)
- HNC or Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience from a Manufacturing / Construction / Engineering background (essential)
- Management or supervisory experience (desirable)
- Sheet metal processing, CNC turning, and pressure die-casting experience (desirable)
- MRP experience, ideally in the use of Sage
- CAD experience, ideally competent in SolidWorks or similar software
- Excellent communication skills along with problem-solving and decision-making capability
- Strategic thinking skills and the ability to act decisively when needed
