Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled MIG welder and fabricator to join our team at Prime Appointments. As a leading recruitment agency, we specialize in placing talented individuals in various roles within the manufacturing and engineering sectors.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled MIG welder with experience in fabricating and repairing metal components. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding mild steel and working from engineering drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform MIG welding tasks on metal components
  • Conduct fabrication work, including cutting, shaping, and assembling metal parts
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings to complete tasks
  • Work on-site and in the workshop, as required
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve project goals

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in MIG welding and fabrication
  • Ability to weld mild steel, up to 5mm+
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and specifications
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

What We Offer:

We offer a competitive hourly rate, ranging from £13-16 per hour, depending on experience. Overtime is paid at 1.5 times the regular rate. We also provide a supportive work environment and opportunities for professional growth and development.
