Job Title: Community Co-Ordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Community Co-Ordinator to join our team at the MRC Laboratory of Medical Sciences. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and enabling a programme of work to minimize the impact of flooring replacement in our new building.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and provide support for all internal activities prior to the commencement of the flooring programme.
  • Ensure timely data return from institute groupings to planners.
  • Plan equipment removal and replacement, and coordinate alternative equipment access.
  • Conduct office audits and laboratory cleaning and decontamination programmes.
  • Plan space usage across and between floors for displaced staff and stored equipment.
  • Engage with other repair planning workstreams to ensure alignment.
  • Liaise with building users and provide responses to queries from the project team.
  • Ensure all equipment is replaced correctly and is functional following the physical repair.
Requirements:
  • BSc or equivalent in a scientific subject.
  • Experience of projects with multiple workstreams and stakeholders.
  • Project management experience.
  • Understanding of the UK academic research environment.
  • Experience of a relocation programme or a major operational transition/change programme.
