We're looking for a skilled professional to join our Finance team at Stars Restaurant as a Financial Risk Management Director. As a key player in our Finance function, you'll partner with Product, Engineering, and Finance teams to document, review, and assess the end-to-end flows for our products, addressing the risks associated with financial reporting.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Help document, challenge, and build an end-to-end view of our customer flow control environment to illustrate key risks, controls, and processes that impact group financial statements.
  • Complete testing in line with programmed schedules to independently assess controls, identify gaps, and implement remediation plans for upstream activities.
  • Effectively support and challenge the product engineering, operational, and group finance teams on their journey to evolve and mature our risk and control environment.
  • Partner with both finance and non-finance teams as needed to address risks and controls related to financial reporting.
  • Work closely with finance teams to help guide and deliver on control design improvements.
  • Keep track of Finance Risk and Control findings and monitor the progress for internal and external audit actions to ensure they're completed on time and actions are adequate to mitigate the risks identified.


Qualifications:

  • A professional finance qualification such as the ACA or equivalent with at least 2-3 years post-qualification experience.
  • Demonstrable experience managing audit fieldwork preferably within Financial services.
  • Able to take a balanced approach to risk and controls to support the growth of the business.
  • A keenness to learn and develop your knowledge of how a Fintech and fast-growing scale-up operates.
