", Technical Services Associate - Salary £32,000 - £42,000 per annum.

The ALS laboratory in Wakefield, West Yorkshire is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Services Associate to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of our facilities and providing excellent service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver excellent service to customers by responding promptly to their needs and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Manage stock sheets across the site to ensure that all necessary materials are available when needed.
  • Complete work requests to the required standard, using your technical expertise and problem-solving skills to overcome any challenges that arise.
  • Carry out regular preventative maintenance checks to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Supervise external contractors as required, ensuring that they follow our safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Issue work permits to contractors, taking into account any specific safety requirements or restrictions.
  • Communicate relevant information effectively to stakeholders, including team members, contractors, and customers.
  • Ensure that all work complies with relevant standards and requirements, including health and safety regulations.
  • Help promote problem-solving activities within the team, encouraging collaboration and innovation.
  • Regularly review and discuss progress with your manager, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as necessary.
  • Continuing learning and development of self and team.
  • Excellent organisational skills, including the ability to work under pressure and manage resources effectively.
  • Work under pressure and meet deadlines without compromising on quality.
  • Manage resources and control costs, maximising efficiency and minimising waste.
