Estimator Job Description

As a key member of our pre-construction team at NSR Associates, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful delivery of our projects. Your expertise in estimation and planning will be instrumental in helping us secure tenders and drive business growth.

Working closely with our senior estimators, you will be responsible for preparing detailed pre-construction estimates, analyzing project plans and specifications, and collaborating with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate quotes and pricing information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze project plans and specifications to prepare detailed pre-construction estimates.
  • Collaborate with senior estimators to gather and review project requirements and scope.
  • Support in evaluating and identifying potential risks and opportunities during the planning phase.
  • Research and compile cost data for materials, labour, and other project components.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate quotes and pricing information.
  • Maintain and update estimation tools and databases to reflect current market conditions.
  • Contribute to the preparation of comprehensive pre-construction reports and bid proposals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Basic understanding of pre-construction processes and cost estimation.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Effective communication and organizational skills.
