Raw Material Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supply Chain Coordinator to join our team at Kerry. This role will be based at our Bristol Portbury location and will involve managing purchase orders, ensuring timely arrivals, addressing supply issues, and liaising with the supply chain team.

The ideal candidate will have some supply chain experience and be eager to learn in a dynamic, challenging, and ever-changing supply chain environment. Responsibilities include reviewing raw material requisitions, issuing purchase orders according to lead time, monitoring vendor confirmations, and acting on variances.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing raw material requisitions and issuing purchase orders according to lead time.
  • Monitoring vendor confirmations to validate delivery dates and acting on variances.
  • Reviewing overdue purchase orders each morning and following up with suppliers, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Monitoring the Portbury Call Off email inbox on a daily basis and taking action on relevant emails.
  • Carrying out actions as per the Daily Task List and updating the list as actions are completed.
  • Providing clear and timely communication of supply issues via SAP cockpits.
  • Checking and maintaining relevant master data, including NPI.
  • Managing the F&R process to avoid service issues or stock write-offs.
  • Monitoring shelf life regularly and working with the supplier, Quality, and Warehouse to extend as required.
  • Carrying out actions assigned by the Inventory Analyst from Stock at Risk reporting.
  • Responding to Plan Release queries in a timely manner.

Qualifications and skills required include:

  • A degree-level qualification.
  • FMCG industry experience, with a preference for food experience.
  • First supply chain experience.
  • Detailed ERP knowledge of the purchasing and material planning modules in a manufacturing environment, with SAP being a distinct advantage.
  • Microsoft Excel skills.
  • APICS qualification desirable.
  • A driving license.
