We are seeking a skilled Biological Production Specialist to join our team at Zoetis in Lincoln, NE. As a leading manufacturer and supplier of animal pharmaceuticals, we offer a dynamic and challenging work environment.
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing tasks in a GMP laboratory setting involving upstream and downstream processes. This will include large-scale bioreactor operations, centrifugation, filtration, chromatography, ultrafiltration, and nanofiltration. The position will be primarily focused on downstream processes and the execution of tasks associated with downstream process needs.
Responsibilities:
- Support large-scale biological production campaigns for GMP by performing aseptic purification of mammalian cultures, operating bioreactors/fermenters, tangential flow filtration (TFF), centrifugation, chromatography, and ultra-purification processes.
- Maintain equipment and problem solve as needed.
- Understand, follow, and accurately complete process documentation to maintain a high level of product quality and a GMP culture.
- Understand and follow safety policies.
- Work collaboratively with team members and personnel from other departments to support manufacturing process.
Requirements:
- High school degree or equivalent is required.
- BS in Biological sciences or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in large-scale production or laboratory scale is desired.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail are essential.
- Ability to prioritize work, think critically, and take initiative is required.
