The University of Edinburgh is seeking a highly skilled Research and Impact Manager to join the Binks Hub, a network of academics, researchers, community members, practitioners, and policy-makers using creativity and the arts to co-create research that makes a difference to people's lives.
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to support the three academics Directors in planning and organising research, knowledge exchange, and training activities that have a measurable and significant impact in the communities involved.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective strategies to promote research outputs and outcomes to the wider public.
- Collaborate with academics, researchers, and community members to plan and deliver projects that meet the needs of diverse stakeholders.
- Manage and coordinate knowledge exchange activities, including events, workshops, and training sessions.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of research activities and make recommendations for improvement.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including academics, researchers, community members, and policy-makers.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience of planning, managing, and delivering projects with a wide range of partners and collaborators.
- Good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex information and make informed decisions.
Working Arrangements:
This is a part-time position, working 21 hours per week. We are open to considering requests for hybrid working that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.
