Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Vocational Art Programme Leader to join our team at Queen Alexandra College. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students with special educational needs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences, promoting academic growth, self-development, and self-confidence among our students.

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

About the Role:

This full-time position is available immediately, offering a competitive salary and a range of benefits, including access to on-site car parking, use of QAC Fitness Centre, and 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme Helpline.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver, plan, and assess the curriculum in an innovative, responsible, and flexible manner using a highly individualized approach.
  • Provide a consistent and sequenced Art and Design curriculum and implement a team approach to working with students using digital devices, assistive technology, and interactive resources as educational learning tools.
  • Evaluate the quality and success of the curriculum and implement into the curriculum quality improvement plan and self-assessment report.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Possess a strong background in Vocational Art and experience working with students with special educational needs.
  • Hold a relevant teaching qualification, such as a PGCE or equivalent.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents.
