Job Opportunity

LDH La Doria Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Food Technologist to join our Technical team. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with NPD Managers, Technical Managers, Specification Technologists, and the Packaging team to ensure that product development, production, and provisions meet the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day support to Technical Managers in ensuring the critical path management process is on target and deadlines are achieved.
  • Monitor and manage the critical path process, ensuring all relevant parties are informed and involved.
  • Support in preparation for SCAMR's, Consistency Panels, and customer sampling sessions through sample collection and paperwork completion.
  • Communicate extensively with suppliers and customers on technical information.
  • Collate and review technical information for retailers or sites, including nutritional data, allergens, site details, specification compliance, and audit conformance.
  • Gather and assist in KPI reporting to relevant retailers.
  • Attend customer visits, first productions, and supplying sites as required.
  • Conduct site audits and produce accurate factory audit reports.
  • Assist Technical Managers in closing out non-conformances raised within audits.
  • Complete specification writing and spec management within the department.
  • Review and examine sample submissions forms with NPD.
  • Trend nutritional analysis and reporting.
  • Support the LDH benchmarking plan with NPD.
  • Package and send samples on behalf of the Technical Manager to customers and suppliers.
  • Support and investigate complaints when required.

Requirements:

  • Maintain good relationships with customers and suppliers through efficient communication.
  • Confidently communicate with technical staff and traders to underpin customer and supplier relationships.
  • Ensure projects are run to the critical path and implement deadlines within the business.
  • Meet customer requirements for factories, safety, legal, and good quality standards.
  • Support Technical Managers as required.
