Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Team Leader to join our Regulatory Services team at Southwark Council. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in managing the delivery of commercial licence policy, applications, and enforcement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with service team leaders and the manager to strategically develop and implement licensing workplans and policies.
  • Ensure the team provides a regulatory service that protects the community, adhering to relevant legislation and Council procedures.
  • Drive the delivery of performance targets within Regulatory Services, contributing to the achievement of broader council objectives.

Requirements:

  • A relevant degree in an appropriate discipline or an equivalent academic or professional qualification.
  • Ongoing professional and managerial development.
  • Proven experience in leading, developing, and monitoring the performance of staff involved in partnership working.
  • Strong background in policy development, strategic planning, and implementation within a partnership context.
