Accounts Assistant Opportunity

SJC Partners is seeking a skilled Accounts Assistant to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing transactional finance tasks, ensuring the purchase and sales ledger are up-to-date, and supporting the Finance Manager in various duties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct daily and weekly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Process supplier BACS payment runs and additional payments as required.
  • Enter daily payments and obtain approval from the Finance Manager.
  • Perform month-end purchase ledger procedures and review.
  • Handle price queries and lead supplier relationships.
  • Monitor the finance email inbox and respond promptly to queries.
  • Paying suppliers once approved and providing support in other areas as needed.
  • Assist with sales ledger cover, including cash counting and receipting.
  • Petty cash reconciliation and month-end review to ensure all banks are fully reconciled.
