About the Role

Axiom Software Solutions Limited seeks a skilled Azure Cloud Cost Optimization Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our DevOps department, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our cloud costs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cost Analysis and Optimization: You will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing Azure cloud spending to identify cost-saving opportunities. This includes implementing and maintaining cost optimization strategies and best practices.
  • Collaboration and Strategy: You will collaborate with IT, DevOps, and Finance teams to align on cost management strategies. Your primary goal will be to develop and communicate cost optimization strategies to stakeholders.
  • Reporting and Forecasting: You will generate regular reports on cloud spending, savings, and budget adherence. Additionally, you will develop financial forecasts and budgets for Azure cloud expenditure.
  • Automation and Tooling: You will automate cost management and optimization processes using scripts and tools. Furthermore, you will evaluate and implement third-party tools for enhanced cost management.
  • Education and Training: You will educate and train teams on cost-saving practices and tools. Your role also involves advocating for a cost-aware culture across the organization.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience: To be successful in this role, you must have 5+ years of experience in cloud cost management and optimization, with a focus on Azure. You should also have proven experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting in a cloud environment.
  • Skills: You should possess in-depth knowledge of Azure services and pricing models. Proficiency in Azure Cost Management and Billing tools is also essential. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and present data effectively, are required.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills are necessary for success in this role. You should also be able to work independently and as part of a team. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills is also required.
Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary of £450 per day. The job requires frequent travel to Warwick (approximately 2-4 times a month).
