Early Years Practitioner Opportunity

We are seeking a passionate and qualified Early Years Practitioner to join our team in the Rising 3s Room at Abbeymead Under 5's, a small and nurturing playgroup dedicated to providing a stimulating and supportive environment for young children aged 2-4 years old.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities to support the development of children aged 2-3 years old.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that encourages curiosity and exploration.
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to create a supportive community within the playgroup.
  • Observe and assess children's development, maintaining accurate records and providing feedback to parents.
  • Collaborate with the team to contribute to the overall planning and organization of the playgroup.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Level 2 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working with children aged 2-3 years old.
  • Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate learning activities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a small team and a knowledge of SEN in an Early Years Setting.
