Job Summary

About the Role


We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Process Development Specialist to lead our research and development efforts in the field of pharmaceutical chemistry.



Main Responsibilities



  • Technical Expertise
  • Apply a broad understanding of fundamental principles of own discipline area
  • Combine knowledge of associated areas (AnalytiSci, ChemSci, MatSci, PharmSci, statistics etc) to solve problems and advance projects in a lab-based environment
  • Deliver and champion scientific excellence as routine
  • Leadership and Collaboration
  • Advise from first principles on technical challenges, equipment issues, and workflow optimisation
  • Contribute technically to the qualification and writing of proposals
  • Mentor and coach junior and mid-level scientists
  • Lead safety standards in the laboratory in own work and compliance of team with safety principles, acts as a role model


Requirements



  • Possess industrial experience in pharmaceutical chemistry of 5+ years and a scientifically relevant PhD or alternatively 8+ years industrial experience post-masters/bachelors
  • Deep technical experience in relevant field of pharmaceutical science
  • Proven track record of delivering large and complex project tasks while operating fully independently
  • Expertise in writing clear reports from complex data, drawing clear conclusions, and the ability to communicate in technical language with scientific peers including customers
