Head of Network Security Strategy and Architecture
About UsWe're Project People, a forward-thinking organization seeking an accomplished security professional to lead our network security vision, strategy, and architecture. This critical role involves developing a secure and reliable network across RAN, Transport, Core, and OSS domains, aligning with both operational and business objectives.
Job DescriptionThe ideal candidate will set a multi-year strategy and deliver a network security architecture that supports business goals while ensuring compliance, enhancing security operations, and building customer trust. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and communicating a multi-year Network Security strategy across all network domains, aligning with business and operational requirements.
- Translating strategy into a comprehensive security architecture, designing secure systems that meet immediate and future business needs.
- Maintaining knowledge of cyber security and network trends, evaluating emerging technologies from an operational perspective.
- Partnering closely with RAN, Transport, Core, and OSS strategy and architecture teams, IT architecture, Technical Services, Information Security, and Regulatory functions to meet business needs.
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- Strong experience working in Cyber Security within a telecoms mobile network environment.
- Awareness/understanding of the Telecom Security Act (TSA) and associated Code of Practice and what this means for the mobile operator.
- Experience in managing and leading teams.
- Strong experience in elaborating strategies and roadmaps and translating them into high-level architecture designs.
- The ability to work at multiple levels within the organization from technical delivery to senior management.
- Well-versed in the application of security policies and standards, governance, compliance, risk management, and technical assurance practices.
- Experience of using common information security management frameworks, such as NIST, PCI, GDPR, ISO Series, OWASP, the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL), the ISF Standards of Good Practice (SoGP), and ISACA's Control Objectives for Information and related Technology (COBIT) frameworks.
- Good knowledge of OSS, RAN, Core, Transmission/Transport, IP, cloud infrastructure, and end-to-end services.
- Experience dealing with and managing Telco and non-Telco vendors.
- Experience developing financial budgets and prioritizing.
The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
