We are working with a manufacturing client in Redditch who, due to massive growth, are seeking a Tooling Engineer to join their existing team.
Key Responsibilities:- The manufacture and maintenance of press tools, jigs, and fixtures.
- Utilising traditional toolroom equipment and operating Wire Erosion/EDM machines.
- Maintaining a safe working environment within the toolroom.
- Programming and operating EDM machinery using CAD programs.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive or aerospace.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
- CAD experience - any package.
- Be PC Literate.
- Have good verbal and written communication skills.
- Have good attention to detail.
- Manual machinery - Bridgport, grinding etc. experience.
- Have a minimum of 4-5 years' work experience within a tooling environment.
- Hold a relevant Manufacturing/Engineering qualification or have considerable practical experience in a similar environment.
In return, the Tooling Engineer can expect to receive a competitive salary and package, work a 39-hour week – working hours can be flexible with start times, between 6 and 8. Benefits include a 3% employer pension contribution, company sick pay, holiday entitlement which increases based on length of service, and a cycle to work scheme.
