We are seeking a motivated and self-driven Civil Enforcement Officer to join our expanding team at the London Borough of Harrow. This temporary role offers a competitive pay rate of up to £15.39 per hour, excellent training, career development support, and 21 days of holiday (excluding Bank Holidays).

Main Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and enforce parking regulations to ensure compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Issue Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) by taking details and pictures of incorrectly parked vehicles, providing clear and concise information to motorists.
  • Provide information on local parking rules and facilities, ensuring that drivers are aware of their obligations and options.
  • Notify authorities about faults with parking meters, damaged road signs, and other relevant issues, ensuring that the community is safe and well-informed.
Requirements:
  • Ability to work an allocated shift pattern based on 5 over 7 days, including evenings, nights, weekends, and bank holidays, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Knowledge of legislation relating to Parking Enforcement/CCTV, ensuring that you are up-to-date with the latest regulations and best practices.
  • Training in Civil Enforcement or the capability to be trained to satisfactory standards, or relevant experience, demonstrating a commitment to professional development.
  • BTEC Level 2 or equivalent in CCTV Enforcement, or relevant experience, showcasing your technical skills and expertise.
  • Full UK driving licence for a car and a driving record that meets the council's insurance requirements, ensuring that you are a safe and responsible driver.
  • Ability to work outside in various weather conditions, demonstrating resilience and a positive attitude.
