About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Area Estates Maintenance Manager to join our Housing Operations and Voids Services team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing contractors and/or direct labour, setting up weekly/monthly performance meetings, and delivering void repairs in tight timescales.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage contractors and/or direct labour to ensure efficient delivery of void repairs
  • Set up and chair weekly/monthly performance meetings to review progress and identify areas for improvement
  • Oversee the management of contractors and/or direct labour to ensure compliance with CDM regulations and health and safety standards
  • Develop and implement project programming, project finance, and project delivery strategies to meet business objectives
  • Schedule sub-contractors to suit demand and ensure effective resource allocation
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in housing operations and maintenance management
  • A HNC/NVQ3 or equivalent education, with (or working towards) IOSH level 3, or significant experience in construction/management or relevant experience in managing property maintenance operations
  • A relevant professional qualification, e.g. CIOH, RICS, CIOB, etc.
  • Practical knowledge of the construction/property maintenance industry and a detailed understanding of providing an effective responsive and planned maintenance and void property service
  • Knowledge, understanding, and experience of managing a geographically dispersed and diverse workforce
