We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Nursery Practitioner to join our team at a well-established nursery in the Beaconsfield area. The nursery is close to public transport links, providing easy access for our staff and children.
As an Early Years Practitioner, you will play a vital role in the care, development, and education of the children under your care, providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can explore, learn, and grow.
You will support the physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development of the children in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, planning and organizing play-based learning experiences that encourage curiosity, creativity, and social interaction. You will monitor children's progress, identify any areas of concern, and communicate with parents and caregivers to provide updates and guidance.
The nursery offers a competitive salary, 25 days holiday, excellent training and professional development, employee assistance, discounted nursery fees, high street discounts, and free lunch and drink.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning and Delivery: Create and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities and learning experiences in line with the EYFS framework. Ensure each child's individual needs and interests are met, fostering a love of learning in a safe and stimulating environment
- Child Development: Monitor and record children's progress, keeping accurate records of their development and working closely with parents and carers to share updates and provide support and guidance
- Team Collaboration: Work effectively as part of a team, contributing to the smooth running of the nursery and supporting colleagues as needed. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge
- Health and Safety: Ensure the nursery environment is safe, clean, and welcoming for all children and staff. Adhere to all policies and procedures, conducting regular risk assessments and promoting a culture of safety and well-being
- Safeguarding: Be fully aware of and follow safeguarding procedures to protect and promote the welfare of all children in your care. Act as a key person for a group of children, building strong, trusting relationships and ensuring they feel secure and valued
We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of a full and recognised Level 3 qualification in Childcare. Previous experience working in an early years setting, preferably as a Nursery Practitioner or in a similar role, is essential. Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and its practical application is also required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, are essential. A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development is also necessary.
