Ecommerce Merchandiser Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Ecommerce Merchandiser to join our team at People Marketing Fashion Recruitment. As an Ecommerce Merchandiser, you will play a crucial role in driving sales and improving the online customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Stock Management: Monitor and manage stock levels, ensuring accurate inventory levels and minimizing stockouts.
  • Product Planning: Support the planning of budgets by category, option count, and depth of buy based on business goals and financial objectives.
  • Team Collaboration: Liaise closely with merchandising, operations, and customer service teams to improve efficiencies, trade, and customer experience.
  • Product Maintenance: Manage new product uploads, category builds, product detail maintenance, and promotional activities.
  • Content Management: Liaise with various teams for regular and ad-hoc content management system tasks and initiatives.
  • Site Testing: Be highly involved in user acceptance testing site testing for development projects and regular site walks to ensure 100% accuracy.
  • Onsite Optimisations: Collaborate with the E-Commerce team for onsite optimisations such as product recommendations, upselling/cross-selling opportunities, and search improvements.
  • Marketplace Activities: Assist with the day-to-day coordination of E-Commerce marketplace activities, e.g. product uploads, reporting, organizing stock transfers.
  • Trade Performance: Report E-Commerce trade performance including KPIs, providing data-driven insight and conducting deep dives to better understand shopping behaviours and trends.
  • Day-to-Day Tasks: Assist operations, E-Com, and sales/product teams with day-to-day tasks.
  • Stock Clearance: Manage constant stock clearance and inventory control.
  • Size Ratios: Work with E-Com and sales to ensure size ratios for products are appropriately ordered each season.
  • Sample Coordination: Coordinate with marketing team to receive samples on time to be shot for seasonal and capsule launches.
  • Web Stock Management: Monitor web/E-Com stock and replenishments, liaising with warehouse on this.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Prepare appropriate analytics and business intelligence reports.
  • Price Analysis: Analyse different price points for E-Com to determine the best price for various items based on trends, colours, styles.
  • Inventory Issues: Monitor inventory issues – e.g. damaged stock and taking appropriate action.
  • Strategic Impact: Have the ability to make analytical decisions that can help make strategic impact in other departments.
  • Department Strategy: Contribute to department strategy demonstrating an ability to recognise innovative ideas and solutions, which have a commercial gain.
  • Digital First Approach: Deliver a 'Digital 1st' approach across the Group brands.
  • Trend and Technology Awareness: Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in the D2C and e-commerce space, and proactively identify innovative merchandising solutions to enhance the online customer experience and stay ahead of the competition.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 4+ years' experience in merchandising, inventory management, or retail analytics.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Skills: Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel or similar tools, excellent organizational and time-management, ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, strong communication and collaboration skills, passion for streetwear fashion and trends.
