Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistant Role

Location: Walsall

Salary: £80 - £95 per day

Protocol Education is seeking a Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistant to join a school in Walsall. This role will involve providing support to students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs (SEMH) and working collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement strategies to manage behaviour and improve academic outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to support students with SEMH needs in managing their behaviour and improving their academic outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to support the SEMH needs of students.
  • Provide individual and small group support to students with SEMH needs.
  • Have a Bachelor's degree in psychology, counselling, social work or related field (desirable but not essential).
  • Have experience working with students with SEMH needs.
  • Have knowledge of behaviour management strategies and techniques or be willing to learn.
