Job Overview

iO Associates is proud to partner with a leading Animal Feed Manufacturer in the UK/EU to find a skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic company that values excellence and continuous improvement. As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in providing engineering support for a wide range of equipment and systems.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair factory equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Conduct wiring and fault finding in panels and SCADA systems to identify and resolve issues promptly.
  • Perform regular preventative maintenance routines to prevent equipment downtime and ensure smooth operations.
  • Carry out boiler safety tests in line with UK Health, Safety and Environment regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date engineering records to track maintenance activities and equipment performance.
  • Liaise with engineering contractors and suppliers to source materials and services as needed.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience working in an engineering team within a FMCG manufacturer.
  • Apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • 18th Edition Electrical Training certification.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive base salary of up to £43,600, with potential for overtime salary expectations up to £47,600.
  • A comprehensive benefits package, including 26 days of holiday plus bank holidays, an attendance bonus, and a generous company pension contribution.

Working Conditions:

  • Some overtime may be required to complete breakdowns or maintenance routines before production runs, including Saturday mornings.
  • A call-out rota for occasional out-of-hour breakdowns, with call-out pay and mileage covered.
  • Overtime is paid at 1.5x the hourly rate for Saturday mornings and 2x the hourly rate on Saturday afternoons.
