Responsibilities:


  • Operational Support:
  • Assist the Deputy Depot Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring adherence to SOPs and efficient workflow.
  • Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the team to resolve operational challenges and implement solutions.
  • It is a requirement to be able to drive a forklift, as part of the warehouse duties, full training will be given to achieve FLT (forklift) licence


Health & Safety:


  • Support the Deputy Depot Manager in maintaining a safe working environment by conducting regular safety audits and inspections.
  • Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety regulations and company policies.
  • Participate in safety training programs and promote a safety-always culture.


Team Management:


  • Assist in managing and motivating the warehouse operatives and contractors, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Support in the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members.
  • Provide guidance and support to warehouse operatives to enhance their performance and development.


Customer Service:


  • Support in resolving customer issues and complaints in a timely and professional manner.


Requirements:


  • Experience in logistics, distribution, or a related field.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations.
