Job Title: Lead Software Engineer - Cards Engineering

Join PayPoint Group as a Lead Software Engineer and take on a challenging role in our Cards Engineering team. As a technical leader, you will be responsible for providing guidance and expertise to the team, collaborating with Solution & Infrastructure Architects, and helping to translate architecture into solution design.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical leadership to the Cards Engineering team.
  • Collaborate with Solution & Infrastructure Architects to help translate architecture into solution design.
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable technical solutions that support the ongoing growth of the business and improve service.
  • Ensure that the application lifecycle, quality assurance, database engineering, and build and deployment tasks are in place and understood by the team.
  • Actively participate in driving continuous improvement in the team's processes, software tools, and output.
  • Help shape the team's ways of working with the Product Delivery Manager.
  • Support the Product Delivery Manager in communicating and updating stakeholders.
  • Assist with translating technical solutions into language that non-technical staff will understand.
  • Be committed to delivering high-quality, well-tested software as part of an agile team.
  • Participate in an out-of-hours support rota to ensure that the applications, systems, and services in your area run smoothly at all times and service is optimized.
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of experience as a software engineer or developer, with at least 2 years as a senior or staff engineer.
  • Strong Azure Cloud experience, including Networking, Storage, Kubernetes, App Services, API Manager, and Monitoring.
  • .NET Core / .NET 6+ experience.
  • Java experience.
  • Web development experience, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Web API (RESTful) experience.
  • JavaScript frameworks experience.
  • Front-end frameworks experience.
  • SQL Server (T-SQL, Stored Procedures) experience.
  • No-SQL (Cosmos Db) experience.
  • Unit Test Framework (NUnit, MSTest, or xUnit.net) experience.
  • Source Control, Build, and Deployment Tools (Azure DevOps and GIT) experience.
  • Agile (Scrum, Kanban) or DevOps environment experience.
  • Experience in CRM systems development (e.g. Salesforce).
  • Microsoft SSIS and SSRS experience.
  • Experience in Android development frameworks.
  • Experience in newer languages such as Golang or Rust.
