Cloud Infrastructure Specialist

As a Cloud Infrastructure Specialist, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and secure cloud-based infrastructure on AWS. This is a technical role that requires strong expertise in AWS services, including EC2, ECS, RDS, VPC, and IAM.

You will be responsible for building and maintaining infrastructure-as-code solutions using Terraform, as well as setting up CI/CD pipelines with AWS CodePipeline. To ensure high availability and scalability of systems, you will utilize AWS tools like CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and Config.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a growing company, where you will have the chance to learn new skills and technologies, and take on more responsibility over time. You will also have the opportunity to mentor other engineers and promote best practices around security, compliance, testing, monitoring, and automation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable and secure cloud-based infrastructure on AWS
  • Build and maintain infrastructure-as-code solutions using Terraform
  • Set up CI/CD pipelines with AWS CodePipeline
  • Utilize AWS tools like CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and Config to ensure high availability and scalability
  • Mentor other engineers and promote best practices around security, compliance, testing, monitoring, and automation

Requirements:

  • Experience with AWS infrastructure and services
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform
  • Experience setting up CI/CD pipelines and automation
  • Strong Linux and scripting skills
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting
  • Ability to identify and remediate security issues
  • Bonus: Containerization skills (Docker, ECS)
  • Bonus: Experience with cloud cost optimization
