As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the supply chain, purchasing, and logistics functions to ensure seamless delivery of products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Utilize SAP to run MRP, manage setup and reorder points, and ensure up-to-date lead times from mills.
  2. Collaborate with the Sales Team to understand customer forecasts and growth products not visible by MRP.
  3. Place transactional purchase orders with group mills.
  4. Monitor order delivery dates and take action to ensure good OTD from suppliers.
  5. Build strong relationships with mills and identify process improvements.

Requirements:

  1. Strong understanding of the steel industry's commercial aspects, including pricing, market trends, and supplier dynamics.
  2. Advanced knowledge and experience of MRP systems and processes.
  3. Ability to work closely with sales to understand commercial opportunities and ensure stock availability.
  4. Strong financial and business acumen, including budgeting and cost management.
  5. Previous experience with SAP is a plus.
  6. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  7. Good understanding of MRP and SAP work orders.
