Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time permanent Band 6 on the CAT unit at Leeds Children's Hospital. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual with the required skills to provide high-quality patient care and ensure the best patient-centered experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including triage and vetting processes, to ensure patient safety and quality care delivery.
  • Assist the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse in managing the administrative and financial aspects of the ward, ensuring cost-effective resource utilization.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of programs of care, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Act as a role model, promoting quality evidence-based practice and developing the nursing team.

Person Specification
  • Significant post-registration experience at staff nurse level or equivalent.
  • Working with a wide range of professionals, including medical, nursing, and management colleagues.
  • Audit and standard-setting experience.
