Sustainable Building Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical & Electrical/Building Services Engineer to join our team based in the UK. As a key member of our Development & ESG team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our properties meet ambitious Technical and Environmental Standards across Europe.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and oversee mechanical, electrical, lift, and sprinkler system design and installation into new projects.
  • Retrofit existing buildings to Net Zero standards following a rolling programme throughout the next decade.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechatronics and 5-6 years of experience within an Engineering Consultancy or equivalent environment.

Requirements:
  • Familiarity with design and performance specification of Mechanical, Electrical, Lift, and Sprinkler systems.
  • Knowledge of embodied and operational carbon, 'Well' design, low energy/passive design, heat pumps, AHU, VRF, FCU, low GWP refrigerants, efficient systems, heat recovery.

The salary for this role is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. We also offer a range of benefits, including paid maternity leave, generous holiday allowance, discounted rates for overnight stays, and more.
