Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Investment Director to lead our investment efforts in Scotland's vibrant communities, driving economic resilience and social wellbeing.

This role is a key part of our Investment Origination team, working closely with the Director – Market Creation (Place) to structure, negotiate, and execute impactful investments that align with our strategic objectives.

About the Role

As Deal Team Lead, you will guide the full investment process from assessment through to successful execution, ensuring each investment meets our financial, regulatory, and social objectives.

  • Originate and execute investments that support Scotland's growth and development.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with investment approvals and review processes.
  • Budget for investment costs, anticipating potential returns on investment.
  • Maintain relationships with industry partners, advisors, and investors to drive project success.

You will work closely with colleagues across departments to deliver long-term positive change in Scotland's communities.

Requirements
  • A proven track record in investment management, particularly within sectors related to the built environment and community development.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex investment portfolios, engaging stakeholders and building strong relationships.
  • Experience in a leadership role, mentoring team members and fostering professional development.
  • A commitment to our mission, with a passion for supporting Scotland's social and economic growth.
  • Relevant degree qualifications or professional certifications, such as CA or CFA.
