Global Head of Six Sigma and Material Science and Technology

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to lead our Six Sigma and Material Science initiatives as a Global Head. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business improvement through the Six Sigma Programme, creating an industry-leading ecosystem, and influencing business strategy and Global Supply Chain objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Benchmark programme content and performance across industries to set operational performance ambitions and evolve the Six Sigma Ecosystem in line with industry trends.
- Partner with MSAT Leadership to build an industry-leading technical problem-solving programme.
- Maintain, embed, and improve the GPS Six Sigma training materials.
- Create and deliver a global Six Sigma deployment plan to meet the needs of the GSC network and ensure the right skills exist in the right roles.
- Define, build, and deploy the required Six Sigma Capabilities, change management, and associated standards across all sites and functions.
- Monitor the quality of the Six Sigma ecosystem deployment through standardised process confirmation on a scheduled frequency.
- Advocate for and demonstrate GPS skills, mindset, and behaviours through coaching and mentoring, and by leading and facilitating Kaizen Events and Problem-Solving Sessions for critical business issue resolution.
- Develop a scorecard to measure and monitor delivery of the global Six Sigma programme, including behaviours and value delivered for GSC through GPS.
- Support the GSC network with the definition and prioritisation of GPS programmes and projects in line with the strategy and goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with GPS site and functional GPS teams to identify best practices and co-create next-generation programme elements where required.
- Coach senior leadership teams to embed and sustain GPS and Six Sigma as a core aspect of site and functional operations.
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering.
- 15+ years in Pharmaceutical/Biotech Industry, including experience in manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and continuous improvement.
- 10+ years of supervisory/management experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively across a matrix environment and navigate without formal authority to deliver on business results.
- Possess strong leadership, scientific, and business acumen, and ability to manage multiple priorities, timelines, and ensure compliance to all GSK policies.
- Six Sigma Master Blackbelt certification or equivalent.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex problem-solving efforts with cross-functional global teams to achieve business objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior leadership and confidently defend informed recommendations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication/presentation skills.
- Must be a committed team player prepared to work in and embrace a team-based culture.
- Experience in Operations/Quality operations, Supply Chain in Vaccines or Biologics manufacturing.
