About the Role

Vast Services is seeking a skilled creative writing facilitator to join our CLaY project. As a volunteer, you will play a key role in promoting creative expression and empowering local communities.

Job Title: Creative Writing Volunteer

Location: Stoke on Trent City Council Libraries Division

Estimated Salary: £10.50 - £11.15 per hour (dependent on location and experience)

Job Description:

This exciting opportunity allows you to utilize your passion for creative writing and share it with others. As a facilitator, you will create a welcoming atmosphere, engage participants, and promote adult well-being.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and lead creative writing workshops and sessions at local libraries
• Welcome new members to groups and encourage active participation
• Share your knowledge and expertise with group members, teaching them about creative writing techniques
• Foster a collaborative environment where people feel valued and motivated
• Promote awareness of the groups among local communities

Requirements:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, essential for building relationships with group members
• Knowledge and skills in creative writing, necessary for leading effective workshops
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility and adaptability, necessary for responding to changing circumstances and needs
• A commitment to dedicating time to this role, a minimum of 2 hours per week
