About the Role

As an Autism Education Support Professional, you will play a vital role in creating a supportive and nurturing environment for our pupils with Autism and additional needs.

Our team at Papworth Hall School, part of Options Autism, is dedicated to providing exceptional education and care to our pupils, and we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate individual to join us.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting Learning: You will work closely with our teaching staff to prepare learning materials and run classroom activities, providing hands-on support and supervision to our pupils.
  • Emotional and Physical Support: You will take responsibility for the emotional and physical needs of our pupils, providing a safe and supportive environment for them to grow and develop.
  • Developing Individualized Plans: You will work with our pupils to develop individualized plans that cater to their unique needs and abilities, helping them to achieve their goals and objectives.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Experience with SEN: You will have experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs, preferably in a school setting.
  • Knowledge of Autism: You will have a good understanding of Autism and its effects on individuals, as well as strategies for supporting pupils with Autism.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: You will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to work effectively with pupils, teachers, and other staff members.
