About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Educational Healthcare Assistant to join our team at a mixed primary and secondary specialist SEN school. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing personalized care and support to our students, assisting with their educational, emotional, and physical needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide tailored support to students in their daily learning activities, helping them to access the curriculum.
  • Assist with the personal care and physical needs of students, including feeding, toileting, and mobility, in accordance with individual care plans.
  • Support the development of social, communication, and life skills, helping students build confidence and independence.
  • Work with teachers to implement educational healthcare plans and help track student progress.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times, particularly during transitions and unstructured activities.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
  • Assist with specialized equipment and resources as needed.
Requirements
  • Experience working with children with SEN or disabilities in an educational, healthcare, or social care setting.
  • Compassion, patience, and a strong desire to support the well-being and development of children with special needs.
  • Ability to provide personal care support with dignity and respect.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • A proactive, flexible, and positive approach to meeting the challenges and rewards of working in an SEN environment.
