We are seeking a dedicated Care Assistant to join our team at Southern Housing, providing high-quality care and support services to residents and individuals on the Isle of Wight.

**Salary:** £13,191 (£21,985 FTE) per annum

About the Role:
  • This part-time position involves working as part of a team to deliver personalised care and support plans for older adults, frail elderly, people with learning disabilities, autism, mental health issues, and complex needs.
  • You will work in our Green Meadows scheme, based in Freshwater, Isle of Wight, and be responsible for providing care services in supported housing schemes, extra care schemes, and community-based services.
Your Responsibilities:
  • Provide care to residents and individuals, as identified in their person-centred care plan, promoting independence, rights, choices, and inclusion in the community.
  • Deliver care in line with the Care Quality Commission standards, ensuring residents have up-to-date care plans and risk assessments reflecting their individual needs and wishes.
Requirements:
  • Hold 5 GCSE passes at grade 'C' or above (or equivalent Grade 9-5), including Maths and English.
  • Able to listen and communicate effectively, with good written communication and numeracy skills.
  • Basic IT skills and a driving licence with access to a vehicle.
  • Able to work both as part of a team and unsupervised, with knowledge of personal boundaries and understanding of CQC requirements.
