The New Zealand Defence Force is seeking a skilled Gunner to join our team. As a Gunner, you will provide indirect fire support for the NZ Army, operating the 105mm light gun and other artillery systems.
You will be part of a team that provides and directs a wide range of fire support for our Defence Force. You will train in the combat and technical skills required to deliver direct and indirect fire, including operating the L119 Light Gun and L16 Mortar.
As a Gunner, you will have the opportunity to operate in a range of different environments, from the battlefield to humanitarian or disaster relief operations. You will work closely with other soldiers to achieve our mission objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Operate the 105mm light gun and other artillery systems
- Provide indirect fire support for the NZ Army
- Train in combat and technical skills required to deliver direct and indirect fire
- Work closely with other soldiers to achieve mission objectives
- Be at least 17 years of age
- Meet citizenship and security requirements for CV security clearance
- Have 3 years secondary school education
- Be medically fit for service
