Driver Trainer Position

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting all areas of driver development and training, including DCPC delivery, fuel-efficient driving, driver compliance, and post-accident fault rectification. They will also be required to measure and target improvement against KPIs.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have relevant experience in a similar position, with a strong understanding of logistics and transportation. You will also need to be an effective team member who can work well on their own initiative, with a positive attitude and excellent communication skills.

The Driver Trainer will be responsible for carrying out pre-employment driver assessments, supporting MMID Health and Safety culture, and working with the Lead Driver Trainer to support safety roadshows and local driver forums. They will also be required to promote and deliver driver development, including safe and fuel-efficient driving aligned to A to G performance indicators.

Key skills and experience required for this role include:

  • Relevant experience in a similar role
  • Effective team member with a positive attitude
  • Excellent communication skills
  • HGV Class 1 Licence (LGV Cat C+E)
  • Current CPC and digital driving card
  • No more than 6 minor points on driving licence
