About the Role
In this exciting position, you will provide administrative support to the Business Hub, maintaining finance, performance, and administrative systems. Key responsibilities include:
  • Audit and Compliance: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Finance: Process paperwork, input data, and reconcile expenditures. Manage prisoner monies, valuables, and accounts receivable.
  • Measuring the Quality of Prison Life (MQPL): Contribute to the assessment and improvement of prison life.
  • Complaints: Handle and resolve complaints efficiently.
  • Risk Register: Identify and mitigate risks associated with business operations.
  • Independent Monitoring Board (IMB) and Personal Identity Number (PIN) Phone system: Assist with IMB functions and manage PIN phone systems.
  • Fixed and Local Assets: Maintain accurate records of assets and equipment.
  • Accounts Receivable and Inventory: Manage accounts receivable and maintain inventory levels.
  • Canteen Administration: Oversee canteen administration, including quarterly reviews.
  • IT Administration: Provide technical support for IT systems.

Requirements
This role requires an ability to communicate effectively in English or Welsh. A standard full-time working week is 37 hours, excluding breaks. The Ministry of Justice offers hybrid working arrangements where business need allows.
