Shift Patterns: 32 hours, full time, Permanent

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and skilled driver to join our team at Southern Hill Hospital. As a driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting clients to various destinations, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety of clients at all times by working with the Activity Coordinator and assisting clients safely on and off the minibus.
  • Secure clients during the minibus/car/van trip and report any faults to the Registered Manager.
  • Be prepared to be available during working hours to transfer residents to hospital, dental appointments, etc.
  • Maintain an awareness of the Health and Safety requirements and report any accidents or incidents to the Activity Co-ordinator and Registered Manager.
  • Complete mileage logbook sheets indicating the distances and other details of trips.

Requirements:

  • Valid license with D1 on the license
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Pleasant, outgoing, and approachable
  • Knowledge and experience of working with vulnerable adults an advantage

Southern Hill Hospital provides 24-hour medical cover and admissions. Our PICU services are for people aged 18-plus who are detained under the Mental Health Act. We aim for short and rapid interventions to help individuals regain a sense of control in their lives to help them to move onto the least restrictive care setting possible.
