Class 1 Night Driver Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Class 1 Night Driver to join our team at Gregory Distribution. As a Class 1 Night Driver, you will be responsible for delivering goods to retail stores on curtain side and box trailers, as well as single and double deck trailer deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver goods to retail stores on curtain side and box trailers.
  • Single and double deck trailer deliveries.
  • Keep in regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress and manage customer expectations.
  • Attend regular training sessions.
Requirements:
  • Must have a UK Class 1 (CE) Driving Licence.
  • Hold a current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
  • Experience of delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous.
  • Be passionate about providing excellent customer service.
  • Working to deadlines.
  • Confident, polite, and a team player.
  • Good geographical knowledge.
  • Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be fit, flexible, hardworking, and self-motivated.
Why Gregory Distribution?
  • Basic salary for Class 1 Night Driver is £41,000 per annum, based on 48 hours per week (includes shift allowance of £17.50 per shift for any shifts starting between 12:00 and 02:00*).
  • Hours of work are Monday – Friday, shifts starting between 14:00hrs – 19:00hrs.
