Dynamite is a leading property consultancy with an expanding building services team.
We are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to support design and construction projects including performing electrical engineering analysis and design, establishing project design requirements, design criteria, and estimating assumptions, supporting construction and commissioning efforts, interfacing with clients, customers, consultants and construction firms.
About the Role
The successful candidate will contribute to successful project completion by providing technical services in accordance with project time and quality. They will maintain, enhance and apply both design and technical knowledge ensuring production of high quality drawings. This includes electrical design of lighting, LV supply and small power distribution, earthing and lightning protection, fire and voice alarm systems, telecommunication services, low current and extra low voltage services, automatic controls, BMS as well as other related electrical utility systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of electrical design calculations, drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
- Participate in the design progress and coordination meetings.
- Coordination with other discipline engineers as applicable for the continuity of the design process.
About You
The ideal candidate will have a BEng(Hons) Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering, excellent report writing skills, experience of making presentations and attending meetings with clients essential. A minimum of 4-8 years of relevant experience in design and delivery of projects within the consulting industry is required.
Experience and track record in the design of electrical systems on a variety of building projects, i.e., retail, mixed-use developments, hospitality, healthcare, offices and industrial is expected. Proficient in the use of IT systems with experience of using Amtech Pro Design, Dialux and/or Dialux Evo, Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is necessary.
