Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

MCS Group is proud to be working with a highly reputable engineering company to recruit a Mechanical Design Engineer in County Tyrone.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing products for the water, waste-water, and energy industries. You will create design data, including 2D drawings, calculations, BOM, equipment schedules, P&I diagrams, control philosophies, and component specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical systems and products for the water, waste-water, and energy industries.
  • Create and maintain design data, including 2D drawings, calculations, and specifications.
  • Use SolidWorks and AutoCAD to create designs and fabrication drawings.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Track and monitor internal and external information exchange as per ISO 9001.
  • Conduct quality checks on products.

Requirements:

  • Minimum degree level or equivalent in mechanical engineering or related product design.
  • Minimum 1 year post-graduation relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable.
  • Proficient in 3D CAD software, including the ability to generate complex 3D CAD assemblies and drawings.
  • Experience working with SolidWorks.
  • A full clean driving license and access to a car.
