Job Description:

RNLI is seeking a highly skilled Naval Architect to join our team. As an Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and development of our life-saving equipment, ensuring it meets the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct design and development work on technical documentation to facilitate the through-life product configuration of all assets and their associated equipment.
  • Work within our EAM delivery and project cells to ensure work is completed to agreed timescales and that Cell processes are followed.
  • Act as a designated engineering signatory in accordance with the EAM delegated authority.
  • Liaise with boatyards, contractors, and suppliers in conjunction with procurement and technical surveyors.
  • Plan and undertake technical investigations, troubleshooting, trials, and analysis of data at boatyards, contractor's premises, and on-board plant.

Requirements:

  • RINA accredited Naval Architecture (or equivalent) engineering qualification equivalent to the England, Wales, and Northern Ireland qualification level 5 as defined by the UK government, or at level 3 or 4 with proven additional experience.
