Water Treatment Technician Opportunity

GHA Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Water Treatment Technician to join our team. This is a full-time permanent position that involves servicing our clients' various contracts in the West Midlands region.

As a Water Treatment Technician, you will be responsible for supporting our clients in maintaining the efficiency, effectiveness, and longevity of their commercial water systems. This includes:

  • Performing temperature checks;
  • Collecting water samples;
  • Inspecting and servicing Temperature and Mixing Valve (TMV) systems;

Additionally, you will be responsible for:

  • Cleaning and disinfecting showers;
  • Inspecting and cleaning tanks;
  • Carrying out chlorination works;
  • Servicing and replacing water softeners and filters;

It is essential that you ensure water hygiene and water treatment maintenance, servicing, and repair works are carried out in accordance with our clients' standards and legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend emergency callouts during and outside of normal working hours;
  • Wear relevant company-issued PPE and clothing;
  • Submit clear and concise service reports and timesheets.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of water treatment and water hygiene;
  • Knowledge of Legionella;
  • Knowledge of commercial plumbing;

Additionally, you should have:

  • Knowledge of building services;
  • A valid driving license;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook;
  • Self-motivation with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.

What We Offer:

  • A negotiable 40-hour workweek, with hours between 08:00 and 17:00;
  • A salary ranging between $27k to $30k, depending on experience;
  • 25 days of holiday (not including bank holidays);
  • A pension scheme after 3 full months of service (3% employer contribution, 5% employee);
  • Overtime available but not guaranteed;
  • A company-provided tablet and phone;
  • A company uniform;
  • A company works vehicle;
  • An employee referral scheme of $1000.
