Mechanical Design Engineer Job Overview

Bennett & Game Recruitment is seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our client's engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the development of new products and improving existing designs for the UK and EU markets.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical design principles and experience working with product development teams. They will be responsible for maintaining compliance with safety regulations and ensuring cost-effective design solutions.

The role will involve working closely with colleagues across the company to maintain organizational and legislative compliance. The successful candidate will also be responsible for identifying and reporting problems with specific processes or products to management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the conversion and development of existing technical information for the UK product range into the ERP system.
  • Working closely with colleagues across the company to maintain both organisational and legislative compliance.
  • To work closely with operations across three sites, to understand the product requirements, production methods and key transactional processes etc. Identify and report problems with specific processes or products to the management team.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of mechanical design principles.
  • Experience working with product development teams.
  • Ability to maintain compliance with safety regulations.
  • Cost-effective design solutions.
