This is an exciting opportunity for a senior project manager to lead a unique project within our largest wastewater treatment works in the Capital City.

This role will directly contribute to Thames Water's Capital Delivery programme and Turnaround plan.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Client-side Senior Project Manager responsible for the investment from initial design through construction and completion.
  • Overall accountability for project programme, cost, and quality, and leading the project team to meet project objectives.
  • Establish a project health and safety culture and lead with a health and safety mindset.
  • Working collaboratively with our external supply chain and driving contractor performance.
  • Support the definition of solutions to meet the project objectives and be responsible for preparing a clear business case.
  • Effective liaison with the relevant town planning authorities and critical internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth running and timely project delivery.
  • Contribute to steering project-wide continuous improvement and delivering against stretching targets.
  • Commercially manage all contract matters to achieve the optimal outcome for Thames Water.
  • Take accountability for governance compliance throughout the project's lifecycle, leading to a smooth transition into operational business.

Role Location: This role will be based on a hybrid basis, either in Clearwater Court Reading or Hampton Coal Wharf, with a requirement to be on-site and in office 3 days a week.

Working Hours: 36 hours a week, Monday to Friday.

What You'll Bring:
  • Demonstrable track record of delivering complex projects in the built environment, infrastructure, or utility industry.
  • An engineering or other relevant degree or qualification within a business or project management qualification.
  • Demonstrate your capability with risk-based and analytical decision-making.
